Không chỉ thu hút đầu tư, KCN còn giải quyết việc làm cho gần 7.000 lao động, tạo động lực phát triển kinh tế - xã hội cho khu vực.
Một trong những điểm nhấn của Liên Hà Thái là định hướng phát triển bền vững. Nhà đầu tư đã xây dựng hệ thống xử lý nước thải tập trung theo công nghệ tiên tiến, đáp ứng tiêu chuẩn môi trường quốc tế; đồng thời tập trung phát triển các tiện ích cho người lao động như khu nhà ở chuyên gia, nhà ở xã hội, ký túc xá. Đây là mô hình KCN - đô thị kiểu mẫu, tạo môi trường làm việc, sinh sống đồng bộ và văn minh, giúp doanh nghiệp ổn định nguồn nhân lực lâu dài.
Lãnh đạo các sở, ngành tại buổi làm việc đã thảo luận về những nội dung trọng tâm: thu hút thêm các dự án công nghệ cao, tháo gỡ vướng mắc trong giải phóng mặt bằng, hoàn thiện hạ tầng, đẩy nhanh triển khai các dự án nhà ở xã hội và tái định cư phục vụ KCN.
Kết luận buổi làm việc, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Phạm Quang Ngọc đánh giá cao tinh thần tiên phong của Green i-Park khi đầu tư vào khu vực còn nhiều khó khăn, qua đó góp phần định hình mô hình KCN - đô thị hiện đại mà tỉnh hướng tới. Ông nhấn mạnh, khu vực ven biển sẽ trở thành trục phát triển mới của Hưng Yên, đóng vai trò là động lực tăng trưởng và nền tảng hình thành Khu Kinh tế tự do trong tương lai gần.

Chủ tịch tỉnh giao các sở, ngành vào cuộc quyết liệt hơn. Sở Xây dựng phải đẩy nhanh hoàn thiện hồ sơ, thủ tục liên quan đến dự án nhà ở xã hội trong KCN; Sở Nông nghiệp & Môi trường cùng Ban Quản lý Khu kinh tế phối hợp điều chỉnh chỉ tiêu sử dụng đất, bảo đảm phù hợp quy hoạch và thuận lợi cho nhà đầu tư.
Với những vướng mắc về giải phóng mặt bằng, ông yêu cầu có phương pháp xử lý linh hoạt, rõ trách nhiệm, nhất là đối với các thủ tục về đất đai và tái định cư nhằm đẩy nhanh tiến độ triển khai dự án.
Song song đó, Chủ tịch tỉnh đề nghị các đơn vị chức năng và nhà đầu tư phối hợp thống nhất quy trình thủ tục theo hướng cải cách mạnh mẽ, xây dựng môi trường đầu tư thông thoáng, cạnh tranh, minh bạch.
KCN Liên Hà Thái, nằm trên địa bàn huyện Thái Thụy trước đây ở Thái Bình (nay là tỉnh Hưng Yên). Dự án có diện tích 588ha, được quy hoạch trở thành khu công nghiệp xanh, thu hút các ngành công nghiệp tiên tiến như điện tử, cơ khí, chế biến thực phẩm, sản xuất hàng tiêu dùng...
